About Us

Enterprise Intelligence Systems was founded in 2006 by its current directors Ben Stewart and Ben Sommerville to fill the growing need for affordable business software for small- to medium- enterprises.

 


Ben Sommerville

Ben Sommerville is an experienced software developer and architect who has been building commercial software for over 10 years. He has developed systems ranging from small desktop applications to enterprise solutions, in a range of industries including telecommunications, newspaper publishing, sports betting and medical services.

His current technical focus is Java/J2EE development, particularly web-based applications. As the situation demands, he has also ventured into other areas such as .Net, PHP and desktop applications.

Regardless of the technology, Ben's expertise is centred on object orientated design, robust software engineering and agile development processes. Ben is also the founder of Bullet Proof Systems (a software consulting company) and a contributor to several open source projects.

Ben Stewart

Over the past decade Ben Stewart has been involved in a variety of software development and systems integration projects for several small-to medium- businesses and large commercial enterprises. He has extensive experience in providing systems for international supply chains and implementing commercial enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in Australia. His expertise also includes software development with various technologies including Microsoft, Java, PHP, Oracle (PL/SQL).

His technical expertise is focused on database technology and the integration of multiple back-end systems. With a diverse background of experience and system administrator training, Ben has an excellent understanding of the commercial and open source technology available for businesses today. Together with Ben Sommerville, he is a founding director of Enterprise Intelligence Systems.

Nathan Montague

Nathan Montague is currently undertaking a four-year VICTEC cadetship at Enterprise Intelligence Systems whilst studying IT part-time at RMIT. He joined us in February 2008 after completing the Diploma of Computing at MIBT/Deakin University in 2007, where he studied web development, programming, database management, object oriented development and multimedia software. His technical interests span database management, web design and programming.

Nathan is responsible for managing the Enterprise Intelligence Systems helpdesk and contributes to our various software development projects.

Christine Sommerville

Christine Sommerville joined Enterprise Intelligence Systems in January 2008.

Christine is our communications manager. She is primarily responsible for writing technical documentation and contributes to our various software development projects.
